Each season, I love to highlight one of the Reiki practitioners who has completed their training with me and is now sharing Reiki in their own beautiful way. This Summer, we’re celebrating Lindsay Day.
Lindsay’s journey has been one of deep commitment and heartfelt intention. Over time, she completed all four levels of Reiki training, participated in a Reiki mentorship, and partnered with me for life coaching as she followed the call to bring her vision to life. That vision is now a reality through Daybreak Holistic Wellness.
It’s been such a joy to witness her growth and the way she’s blended Reiki and wellness into something truly her own. Lindsay has now reached the level of Holy Fire® Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher, and the heart she brings to her work is nothing short of inspiring.
I hope you’ll take a moment to learn more about her story and the beautiful offerings she’s now sharing with the world.

Lindsay's Reiki Journey
How were you introduced to Reiki?
I first was introduced to Reiki back in high school from my sister who was learning about different holistic modalities and went through Reiki I & II trainings. Our relationship was tricky and it felt like she was trying to force it on me. At that time I was getting ready to go off to college, was trying to navigate complex health needs and had a huge suitcase packed full of trauma and underlying family challenges to wrestle with, not to mention was raised in a highly religious home. I had been curious about spiritual development and throughout college was learning more about oracle cards, crystals and mediumship but back in 2008, it just was not the right time for me to really lean into Reiki.
What inspired you to take Reiki training?
Honestly, I was so skeptical of Reiki given my initial introduction to it; however during COVID, I developed a steady meditation practice, continued to learn about my gifts and ultimately helped to care for my mother during the end of her life. Providing hospice care and learning how to connect with her after her passing was essential as I continued to navigate my way through day to day life and trying to develop and grow spiritually. It wasn’t until I saw my Dentist (shoutout to Dr. Vilma Pelaez-Annicelle!) go through Reiki training did I know that this was my Mom’s way of saying “it’s okay, let’s do this!”.
What impact has Reiki had on your life—personally, professionally, or spiritually?
Reiki has impacted me in so many ways, it’s hard to put it into words! Personally, I have been able to use Reiki for myself as part of my own wellness routines whether that be at-work coming off a very stressful meeting, or anticipation of one; sometimes I use it to charge a bath or my food before I eat and even use it in my home with my partner and stepson. My stepson is getting older and when he took a solo trip with extended family earlier this year, I sent distance reiki for the flight, his trip and for my partner so we could all rest a bit easier while he was away. I was also honored to be able to provide reiki to my partner’s grandmother during end of life care and to foster more peace and love during such a transition. I use reiki almost every day in many different ways and am so thankful for how reiki continues to show up.
Do you have a favorite book or resource that has been a supportive part of your Reiki journey?
Foundations of Reiki Ryoho: A Manual of Shoden and Okuden by Nicholas Pearson has been a book that I turn to when I need a little more of the “how to” or want to “nerd out”. I also appreciate “Mainstream Reiki” on Instagram and Youtube given her straight forward explanations and link to the science of energy healing.
How do you currently incorporate Reiki into your professional work?
I offer services professionally either stand alone or integrate it with other spiritual integration practices in my holistic wellness practice.

I also offer clinical behavior coaching services as I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst by profession. On the other side of my practice, I offer spiritual integration and holistic wellness services including reiki, oracle card readings, coaching and mindfulness groups (which typically take on a monthly theme based on the lunar calendar and current astrology forecasts). Beginning Fall 2025, I will be offering 1:1 individual yoga sessions after I complete my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training course. I continuously draw on reiki to support me in my work with clients.

Who is your ideal client and how can people connect with you for sessions?
My ideal clients are individuals who “have been around the block”, so to speak and are comfortable with spiritual terms, multimodal approaches and have done deep inner healing. They are able to commit to remaining open-minded and curious in our work together in session and are partners in their journey of integration and exploration.
