How often should I get Reiki?

Each of us experiences Reiki in a unique and personal way. People schedule weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or quarterly sessions as a support to their overall wellness routines. When experiencing an acute concern, three sessions over three consecutive days, or as close together as possible, is recommended.
A Reiki plan that fits your unique needs can be created with your practitioner.  It is highly recommended to schedule your next session before you leave your Reiki appointment, ensuring your self-care is prioritized and on the calendar.

What should I wear for my Reiki session?

Comfortable clothing is recommended. If you are able, you will be lying face up, on a Reiki table (see image above) during your session. Loose fitting, non-restrictive clothing is best. You will be invited to take off your shoes, if you’d like. You will remain fully clothed and have the option of lying on top of or under a blanket for warmth and comfort.

How should I prepare for my Reiki session?

One thing I personally love about Reiki is that the client does not need to do anything to prepare for their session.

That being said, here are a few tips on making the most of your session:

  • Dress comfortably. If you are coming from or heading to work, feel free to bring a change of clothes. There is a private room for changing.

  • Drink water. Being hydrated before and especially after your session is recommended.

  • Ask questions: You will have an opportunity to share information and ask questions before your session, and are encouraged to ask questions any time during your session.

  • Set an intention: If you are hoping your Reiki session supports you in a specific way, set that intention prior to your session.

What is a Distance Reiki session?

Distance Reiki is remote energy work and a wonderful option for those who want to experience the benefits of Reiki without an in-person session. It is a powerful and often unexpected form of deep relaxation.

What I will need: A photograph of you, your email address...that's it!

I recommend you schedule your appointment for a time when you can relax. I have several clients who prefer distance Reiki occur while they sleep, while others will select a time where they can enjoy relaxing in a comfortable space without interruption. Relaxing music and aromatherapy are great additions to your personal relaxation space during a distance session.  I offer sessions as early as 7:30 am EST. Please reach out if your preferred time is not available online and I will hand-schedule you.

Following your session, you will receive an email with feedback about your session. I will do an oracle card pull to complement your session and include your card and its message in your email summary.

My first experience with energy work was a remote session ... I was completely blown away by how deeply relaxing, informative & life changing it was! I am thrilled to offer this opportunity and happy to share references from my my Distance Reiki Clients.  I’m open to any questions you may have. (I had lots!)

Where can I learn to be a Reiki practitioner?

Teaching is one if my passions! I am certified to teach all levels of Reiki. I offer small group certification classes. I also offer individual one-on-one Reiki training. Reiki Mentorship is an additional training option for those interested in practicing in a professional setting. If you are interested in learning Reiki, please connect with me to discuss a path & plan that’s right for you.

What is the difference between counseling and coaching?

Life Coaching is a forward focused, action-oriented process driven by your vision for living your best life. Coaching leads with your strengths, goals, hopes & dreams. In both Coaching & Counseling, you partner with a professional who facilitates important conversation and provides support, structure and accountability in taking steps toward positive change.
*If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, it is important that you work with a licensed healthcare provider.

How often should I schedule coaching?

Most coaching clients initially schedule weekly or bi-weekly sessions. The time between sessions may shift as progress is made or additional support is desired. Most clients select a day/time that works best for them and preschedule sessions so that coaching sessions are on the calendar and becomes a part of their routine.

A Coaching plan that fits your unique needs will be discussed during your initial session.

What types of goals can coaching support?

My clients' goals are incredibly diverse. The common thread is that they are all highly invested in moving toward their goals.

Examples of client's goals include:

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Career change

  • College transition

  • Family/relationship

  • Healthy Habits

  • Life transitions

  • Organization

  • Passion projects

  • Spiritual growth and development

  • Time Management

  • Work/life balance
